Due to the amount of orgininal work she has produced, Athena is an artist with several strings to her bow. A trained actor with a wealth of experience, she continuously connects with her audience and fellow performers be it in drama, on screen, or stand up comedy. She is always looking for additional opportunites despite having a constant schedule of performing in a variety of contexts.
As an established writer, her work has won the praise of several authors on both sides of the pond including David Means, Dan Chaon, and Ben Okri. Her work has been featured in a varitey of publications including a book of essays entitled Beauty Unsuspected. Between scripts, essays, short stories, and a novel Athena's body of work varies and is ever increasing.
In a directoral role Athena is as comfortable leading and supporting performers as she is onstage herself. Putting together teams, managing budgets, and making more excutive choices as director and producer is second nature. She has worked in established theatres such as Theatre503 and The Tristian Bates as well as more site spacific pieces including metripolitan car parks and disused warehouses.
